Our Team

  • Sierra: FarmHer & Owner

My passion for growing my own food really began when I noticed how my body felt when I eat locally sourced food. I began educating myself in various farming method such as regenerative and biodynamic farming. I became more interested in understand soil microbiome as it relates to the microbiome in our gut health and I want to share what I have learned and what I grow with my own community.

Through farmers markets, online and in-person work shops I want to educate our community how they to can learn the importance of soil heath, growing their own food, pickling and preserving, bread making and more. I want to provide a healthy, local and sustainable food option for all members of our community.

Thank you for joining us on this journey!

  • Erika: Farm Manager

I grew up learning from my grandpa all things gardening, processing and preserving produce in Layton Utah. Later, my dad and I set up a garden in Park City and I can assure you, the challenges of growing produce above 6000' are many.

My passion for gardening and growing is significantly impacted by my love of eating and cooking. I graduated from the Park City Culinary Institute, where I sharpened my skills in the kitchen. I love cooking with garden fresh produce because I know every dish will be more delicious and nutrient dense.

It's easier than you may realize to make great dishes with great ingredients.

  • Ally: Social Media and Content Developer

I became acquainted with Sierra through a mutual friend, local Utahn Momma, Alisha Valdez, owner of healthy meal delivery service Mountain Meals. Now I work remotely for Alisha and Sierra doing social media content creation & writing… remotely as I live in Romania with my husband and son!

Furthermore, I am farming/homesteading in Romania. Our values and interests are closely aligned, and that’s why this working partnership works well. My career history spans from counseling and health coaching to private cheffing on super yachts, cooking nutrient-dense food for the rich and famous, and now, I have traded in the “high” life for a simple, grounded way of living. I am learning to farm and am passionate about organic and local produce and its life-giving force. I want my son to understand the cycle of life, why the seasons are all important, and how to live seasonally, too! To disconnect from the hustle and bustle is my greatest decision to date. I am now calmer, connected to Mother Earth, and more content than ever.

Employment

Work at Casperville Creations - NOW Hiring for a part-time farmer starting in May.

About:

At Casperville Creations we grow a mix of herbs, flowers, microgreens and vegetables using bio-intensive, and regenerative farming methods that allow us to produce high yields in a small space while prioritizing resource-conscious techniques.

We use a minimal till, permanent bed system.  This means that our garden beds are the same each year, instead of being rebuilt by a tractor every season.  Soil fertility is the key to healthy, productive crops.  We add compost, vermicompost (worm castings), and other natural amendments every season based on soil tests.  We also work to incorporate cover crops into our production beds as frequently as possible, allowing cover crop material to break down in place and add organic matter to our soil. We utilize both covered, uncovered and raised bed growing spaces.
